Below are the Qualifications for Membership: - Must be over 20 years old. - Must have a GED or High School Diploma - Must do 5 hours of Community Service Hours before being selected. - Must be an AG, DOM, Stud, a Boi, or a masculine gay female. - Three References (Personal, Professional and Optional) - Must adhere to all policies, procedures and rules of the organization for pledging - Must pass interview with a combined score of 90 or better - Must have completed application to the Vice-President/Director of Membership - Must have a 5 year prospectus - Must show ability and attitude for growth and development APPLY NOW Are You A Transmale (FTM)? This is to include any activities with bruhs or potential bruhs. Hazing in this bruhhood is defined as any action taken or situation created which recklessly or intently endangers the mental or physical health or safety of any person for the purpose of induction of admission into any organization operating under the sanction of, or recognized as a chapter by Sigma Omega Phi Fraternity, Inc. The term hazing shall include, but not limited to, any brutality of a physical nature, such as whipping, beating, branding, exposure to elements, forced consumption of food, liquor, drug or other substances, or any other forced activity which could adversely affect the physical health and safety of an individual. It shall also include any activity which would subject the individual to extreme mental stress, to include any willful destruction or removal of public or private property. Sigma Omega Phi Fraternity, Inc. does not consent to, condone, suggest, or tolerate any act of hazing, harassment or humiliation during the membership intake process; nor will the Fraternity be responsible or liable for any damages, claims or actions based upon the conduct of any individuals, groups, or associations purported to be in any way connected with induction in the Fraternity. A interest/pledge will not be subject to any act of hazing or harassment in connection with or during her induction into membership into the Fraternity. Sigma Omega Phi has no tolerance for any bruhs who engage in hazing. To be found guilty of the act of hazing is to be removed from the bruhhood.
